The Credability Charter
Overall Purpose
Unlike the other requirements of the CredAbility accreditation scheme, the CredAbility Charter seeks to obtain a number of more proactive commitments around disability and the social care movement from organisations involved in delivering services to disabled and older people.
All holders of the CredAbility mark will be required to sign the Credibility Charter which is a public commitment to:
- Display a signed copy of the Charter in a prominent place in your organisation
- Actively promote disability equality
- Identify gaps in the local social care market
- Promote Independence, Choice and Control for all customers
- Create and Maintain good working relationships with local User Led Organisations
- Create and Maintain good working relationships with the Local Authority
- Share case studies and good practice with the wider Social Care Network
- Actively seek feedback from customers
- Demonstrate Independence in all we do
- Display the CredAbility quality mark in all relevant marketing materials
- Know our limits!
- Constantly strive to improve service to disabled customers
